Studio Policy

Darcy D Music Group - Studio Policy 2018/2019

In order to ensure that the studio runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible, we have a few policies for your review.
Please feel free to speak to Christina if you have any questions or concerns.

  • Please arrive a few minutes early for your session. This will ensure that you have had time to settle in and find your focus before you begin. If you are going to be late, please email your instructor or call the office to let us know.
  • All vocal sessions are recorded for your review. This is a great practice tool. Please bring a flash drive to each of your lessons so that we can quickly and easily transfer the file for you.
  • You will be billed for your sessions monthly. Payment is due on the 1st of each month and is processed via pre-authorized credit card. If you do not have a credit card, you can request to set up payment via post dated cheques.
  • If you are unable to attend one of your regularly scheduled sessions, please login to your account on Music Teacher Helper and cancel the session you will be unable to attend.
  • There are no refunds for canceled or missed sessions if you hold a regular space on the calendar. You may enter in a request to reschedule a canceled session through your Music Teacher Helper account. A maximum of 1 reschedule is allowed per month and is done based on availability. All reschedules must be scheduled within 30 days of the cancellation.
  • To cancel or reduce the frequency of your regular space on our calendar, 30 days notice is required.
  • The studio will be closed on statutory holidays. You will see these days blocked out on the online calendar.
  • If you are sick, please feel free to attend your session via SKYPE! This help us to stop the spread of illness and allows you to keep your session! If your throat is sore, please note that you can use this time to go over more of the theoretical elements of singing rather than exercising your voice. You can also use your session time for songwriting/planning etc. Please do not come into the studio if you have a sore throat or are coughing unless you have been cleared by your Doctor to be not contagious.
